The Ministry of Labour has nnounced that Sunday, January
1, 2012 will be a holiday for the private sector in the UAE.
A statement issued by Saqr Ghobash, Minister of
Labour, said all companies and private sector firms need to pay the workers for
the off-day to mark the beginning of the New Year.
He sent his best wishes to President His
Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of
Dubai; and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the
Emirates.
He wished also wished the people of the UAE.
