Website now services 14 countries including Algeria, Tunisia and Lebanon
Dubizzle, the free community and classifieds website, is now available in 14 countries across the Middle East and North Africa.
The site's recent expansion is the first step towards its goal to be in 20 countries in the MENA region. Dubizzle websites have a classifieds section, property for rent or sale, job opportunities, automotive listings and a variety of other interactive pages.
Dubizzle was first launched in 2005 and today the site has over one million unique users and 45 million page views per month, according to the website.
The site has recently improved its navigation and user experience by incorporating features of Internet Explorer 9 into the website and is currently available in Arabic, English and French.
"We're very proud of the way Dubizzle has grown in the last few years and there are lot of new opportunities in the region which we are excited to engage in," said Sim Whatley, co-founder of Dubizzle.
The site, originally created by J.C Butler and Sim Whatley, has gone from a staff of two, to a staff of 40 and is now available in the UAE, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Tunisia.
